About me
I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in complex reconstructive shoulder, elbow surgery and hand surgery. My areas of clinical interest is the whole spectrum of modern minimally invasive keyhole and arthroscopic techniques, shoulder and elbow replacements, joint resurfacing procedures, revision surgery and complex reconstruction.
I am a Oxford graduate and completed my early surgical training in the Oxford region. I undertook higher specialist training in trauma and orthopaedics in the West Midlands deanery, gaining expert training in trauma and elective surgery in University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
I was selected for and successfully completed three very prestigious and internationally well recognised fellowships in Exeter and in Bristol. Over these 18 months, I gained specialist advanced training, making me an expert in arthroscopic and open surgery of the shoulder, elbow and wrist.
I have published extensively in peer reviewed journals and is thus the research lead for the orthopaedics department at the East & North NHS Trust. I have a master’s degree in evidence-based orthopaedic surgery from the University of Warwick and have an interest in the development of artificial intelligence-driven machine vision systems to aid in the treatment of patients with shoulder and elbow disorders. I use my in-depth knowledge of research to deliver the most up-to-date and safe treatments for all my patients.
