About me

I am the head of Gastrointestinal Surgery at the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW). I am a colorectal and general surgeon with a specialist interest in robotic and laparoscopic surgery.

Working in partnership Mr Danilo Miskovic, we have created the Colorectal Robotic Surgical Centre (CRSC) based at the Wellington Hospital, The London Digestive Centre and the Harborne Hospital (all part of HCA Healthcare UK). This is a unique, patient tailored colorectal practice using advanced surgical technologies and facilities (crscentre.com). I also deliver care in the West Midlands at the Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital. I have a wide practice covering hernia surgery, bowel resection for cancerous and non-cancerous conditions, anal fissure and fistula, haemorrhoids, pilonidal sinus disease, rectal prolapse and appendix removal.

I completed basic surgical training in London and was awarded an MD from the University of London following research into colorectal cancer and minimally invasive surgery. I undertook higher surgical training at the Oxford Deanery following which I was selected for the National Ethicon Fellowship in Advanced Colorectal Surgery. Before starting in my consultant post I undertook a further fellowship in complex colorectal surgery at St Marks Hospital, London.

I have extensive experience in robotic surgical techniques. I specialise in bowel cancer surgery and am an international trainer in robotic colorectal surgery across the UK, Europe and South Africa.

I have paediatric surgical experience through working in a specialist paediatric surgical department in Oxford and I perform general paediatric surgery including clinics and day case procedures.
