About me

Mr Richard Freeman is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, with over 20 years of experience. He is internationally recognised as a medical expert in keyhole foot and ankle surgery, and he is regularly invited to teach internationally. He has treated Premiership footballers, Olympians, and ballet dancers, employing advanced minimally invasive techniques, resulting in reduced recovery times and less postoperative discomfort for patients.

Mr Freeman currently treats patients privately at the Nuffield Health Hospitals in Tunbridge Wells and Haywards Heath, Spire Gatwick Park Hospital, as well as The Fordcombe Hospital (previously called Spire Tunbridge Wells).

Mr Freeman is dual fellowship trained, working initially in London working with world experts in foot and ankle surgery. He then undertook a further fellowship in Brighton focusing on lower limb and foot and ankle trauma including complex fractures, bone loss and bone infection.

Mr Richard Freeman completed his medical degree, including an additional Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology at Guy's, King's and St. Thomas' Medical School in London. He then trained in the South East, during which time he graduated with a Masters degree in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
