About me
Mr. Taghi is a consultant otolaryngologist, head and neck surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
His special interest is in the management of complex paediatric ENT problems and Rhinology which include both the endoscopic management of Sinonasal Diseases and functioning septorhinoplasty. He has got vast experience in managing all sort of ear, nose, and throat problems
He has more than 15 years of surgical experience as ENT doctor and received training in three continents (Asia, Europe, and North America). His surgical training was in major London teaching hospitals in the North Thames region. He spent one year at Barts and the London hospitals as a head and neck surgery fellow, consolidated his training further, as he acquired advanced skills in the management of head and neck cancers, thyroid diseases, and skull base surgery.
Another year spent in Canada, where Mr. Taghi completed an advanced clinical fellowship in paediatric ENT, gaining more skills in the management of complex paediatric diseases such as complex airway problems. A handful of ENT surgeons in the UK is specialized in paediatric ENT. He did mini-fellowship at both The famous Cincinnati Children Centre in the US, and The Lausanne Airway Centre in Switzerland.
Ali is a Board certified surgeon from both Arab Board and European Board of Medical Specialisations in ENT Surgery. He is also a fellow of all Royal Colleges of Surgeons in the UK.
He published more than 40 original articles and abstracts and presented widely in international podiums. His current research interest is in surgical simulation, paediatric obstructive apnoea and quality of life.
Mr. Taghi is committed to being a leader in paediatric otolaryngology in the community and academic arena. He is always available as a source of information to General Practitioners and Paediatric colleagues seeking guidance in the specialty of Otolaryngology, as well as being an integral part of the Otolaryngology Training Programme at North Thames Training region. He is an active initiator and participant in both multi-center research protocols as well as clinical studies.
