About me
I am a Consultant General Surgeon specialising in Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery. I undertake gallbladder removal, hernia repairs and weight loss surgery and have a particular interest in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery- I have performed over 1500 laparoscopic procedures with excellent clinical outcomes.
I am on a National Patient Safety committee and was the Trauma lead for general surgery at St Georges Hospital- one of the major supra-regional trauma centres in London and the south coast.
I am a Honorary Senior Lecturer and Senior examiner for the University of London and have published over 170 papers and lecture nationally and internationally.
I also have a medicolegal interest and act as an expert witness for around 20 cases per year.
