About me
Miss Stephanie West is a Consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Southampton General Hospital. She leads the Tertiary Oculomotility service and has extensive expertise in treating adult and paediatric oculomotility problems (double vision (diplopia), squint (strabismus), abnormal head posture, amblyopia) with medical, surgical and optical treatments.
After graduating from Southampton University Medical school Miss West completed her specialist training in the highly regarded centres of Nottingham and Bristol.
Subsequently she undertook two years of subspeciality training in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus including a prestigious fellowship at Sickkids, Toronto, for which she was awarded the JD Morin prize for best fellow as well as a fellowship at Moorfield’s Eye Hospital.
