About me
Mr Anil Kumar Agarwal is a Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon with extensive training and experience in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery. He initially trained as a General Surgeon before entering Plastic Surgery at the Christian Medical College Vellore, South India. He subsequently completed a recognised Plastic Surgery training programme at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh, India, followed by a two-year specialist Hand Surgery Fellowship at Ganga Hospital, a Trauma Centre internationally known for Hand and Microsurgery.
Mr Agarwal undertook further advanced training in Plastic and Hand surgery across several specialist units in the UK, including posts at Withington Manchester, Chelmsford and East Grinstead (West Sussex). He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and completed the FRCS (Glasgow), FRCS (Plast), and British and European Diplomas in Hand Surgery.
Mr Agarwal has been an NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 2008 and is currently a substantive Consultant at Royal Preston Hospital. His clinical practice focuses primarily on hand surgery below the wrist, particularly conditions affecting the fingers, while maintaining a broader practice in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
