About us
I am a Consultant urologist practicing at Spire Cardiff Hospital. My NHS practice is at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
I investigate and treat patients with a wide variety of urological problem such as the presence of blood in urine, urinary tract infections, urinary flow difficulties, urgency and frequency of urination. I perform surgical interventions for male genital diseases including narrow foreskin, scrotal lumps, varicocele (enlargement of testicular veins). My specialist interest is in men's health problems resulting from enlarged prostate, erectile dysfunction, men's factor infertility, male urethral stricture disease, post-prostatectomy incontinence of urine.
I perform vasectomy for contraception and have a high volume practice in microsurgical vasectomy reversal.
Originally, I was born in Moldova, my urological training was in the UK and USA.Those who know me would say that I am friendly and approachable. Coming to see a doctor can be a stressful experience so I always try to put my patients at ease. I talk without using medical jargon and after the consultations I write to my patients re-iterating what was discussed in a language understandable to everyone.
