About me

I am a Consultant Surgical Oncologist and General Surgeon in the Sarcoma Unit and Skin Unit at The Royal Marsden. I practice privately in the Royal Marsden, as well as The Lister Hospital, and the recently established HCA Chiswick Medical Centre.

I joined the Royal Marsden Hospital Sarcoma and Melanoma Unit in 2014. Prior to my appointment at the Royal Marsden I trained as General Surgeon with a special interest in colorectal surgery in Ireland. I subsequently underwent additive specialist training in General Surgical Oncology, as a fellow at the University of Toronto.

I have a special interest in surgery for soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma, in particular retroperitoneal, pelvic and intra-abdominal sarcomas as well as anorectal and visceral melanoma. I have an interest in the application of minimally invasive surgery to the management of rare tumours.

I have an interest in robotic surgery and established the Upper GI and Sarcoma Robotic programs in RMH, performing Gastric GIST and formerly RAMIE (Robotic Assisted Mininally Invasive oEsophagectomy) procedures.

I have specific fellowship training in MIS general surgery, including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, inguinal and ventral hernia repair.
