About me
Mr Yasin is a Consultant in Complex Spine Surgery at Salford Royal Hospital, part of the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, one of the largest and most specialised spinal centres in Europe. He has been a consultant since 2014 and has extensive experience managing the full spectrum of spinal conditions, from back and neck pain to spinal deformity, trauma, and reconstructive surgery.
He graduated with Honours from Cardiff University in 2002, receiving several academic awards including the university prize in Anatomy. He completed his higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics in the North West and undertook advanced spinal training, including a prestigious international fellowship in Brisbane, Australia. He has also visited leading spinal units in the USA, France, and Germany to further develop his expertise.
Mr Yasin is known for his patient-centred approach, clear communication, and commitment to shared decision-making. His practice is underpinned by evidence-based care, and he holds additional qualifications in leadership and healthcare management, including an MBA and training at Harvard Business School. He also holds national roles in governance, consent, and spinal safety, and is the only spinal surgeon in the UK with publicly available personal surgical outcome data.
