I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital, Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Mr Andrew Luff (he much prefers Andy) is one of the most experienced Ophthalmic Surgeons in the country having completed over 30,000 Cataract procedures and 50,000 vitreoretinal procedures. Andy has a special interest in vitreoretinal and cataract surgery for over 30 years. He graduated from both Oxford university and Guys Hospital Medical School and went on to train as a General Surgeon, before specialising in Ophthalmology. Andy was selected for a prestigious Fellowship at the highly regarded Moorfields Eye Hospital, which preceded his appointment as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Southampton Eye Unit in 1995.
Andy is very involved with Southampton's Academic Department of Ophthalmology and indeed was among the first pioneers of intravitreal injection, which is now common treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration. Recently, he has endorsed a technique of vitrectomy under local anaesthesia and has unique expertise in sutureless vitrectomy surgery, combined with the insertion of multifocal implant lenses.
Andy is an innovator in medical and surgical treatments of macular disease including photobiomodulation and combined phaco-vitrectomy procedures. He has considerable experience in refractive lens exchange using accommodating and multifocal implants and is a recognised lecturer for Ophthalmic Surgical Trainees, General Practitioners and Optometrists.
