About me
I graduated from the University of Leeds Medical School in 1998 with an honours Bachelor of Science degree and an honours degree in Medicine and Surgery (MB ChB Hons). I undertook my basic and higher surgical training in Yorkshire and I passed my Fellowship (FRCS Tr & Orth) exams in 2008 and was added to the GMC Specialist Register in 2010.
Two prestigious national knee fellowships provided me with my post-accreditation training in all aspects of knee surgery (including complex ligament and knee trauma surgery). These were completed at major teaching hospitals. I was appointed as a Consultant trauma and knee surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust in September 2014.
I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds and undertake academic teaching of undergraduate medical students and post-graduate orthopaedic trainees. I also serve as a faculty member on many national and regional orthopaedic courses and am also involved in the development of techniques for cartilage regeneration. My research work has been presented at international meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals.
