About me

Aakshay Gulati is appointed as a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the renowned Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in East Grinstead. He has a specialist interest in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction and is a core member of the West Kent Head & Neck multidisciplinary team.

He is also an Executive Officer of the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery (EACMFS).

He is a dually qualified surgeon holding both dental (1996) and medical (2006) qualifications.

He has undertaken advanced dental implant training in South Africa, USA and the United Kingdom. He undertakes complex cases requiring bone grafts and sinus lifts. With his extensive surgical background, he is well versed with all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery including facial aesthetics and implant dentistry.

He was awarded the Leibinger Prize in 2012.

I have a keen interest in promoting higher education and regularly lecture and hold workshops in the fields of oral and maxillofacial surgery and implantology. I am the Training Programme Director of OMFS that covers Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
