About me
Mr Thomas specialises in all conditions of the shoulder and elbow surgery with a particular interest in joint replacement, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery and sports injuries. He is pioneering the use of bone-preserving shoulder replacements which bring significant patient benefits.
Mr Thomas qualified from University College London, Medical School in 2001 before moving to the West Country for his Surgical training in Bath and his Orthopaedic training in Bristol. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011 and took up his Consultant appointment in Exeter in 2013.
Mr Thomas has a broad experience of shoulder and elbow surgery, completing prestigious, advanced surgical fellowships in Geelong, Australia and at the Major Trauma Centre in Bristol. His specialist clinical practice has a particular focus on strategies that enhance recovery following surgery and improve patients’ overall surgical experience
