About me
Mr Anand is a leading specialist knee surgeon in Surrey and London. He trained at University College London Medical School and graduated in 2002. He completed an additional degree in Orthopaedic Science during his medical training. His specialist orthopaedic training was in Cambridge and London. He has comprehensive specialist fellowship training in all aspects of knee surgery. Having trained under some of the leading knee surgeons in the world he has acquired considerable knowledge in treating high demand athletes. He applies these principles to all the patients he treats. His passion within knee surgery is in sports injuries, ACL ruptures, robotic knee replacements, partial knee replacements and patella instability.
Mr Anand specialises exclusively in knee surgery and offers specialist care in all aspects of knee surgery.
He is often consulted for a specialist second opinion from both his colleagues and patients for difficult knee problems.
He is experienced in treating complex knee problems in situations where previous surgery has failed. Mr Anand has completed four knee fellowships. He spent 6 months in Melbourne, Australia with Prof J Feller acquiring expertise in sports knee surgery. His other fellowships were in top centres in Italy, Bristol and Bournemouth. In 2013 he was awarded the prestigious European Arthroscopy Travelling Fellowship where he travelled around Europe visiting the top centres and presenting his research. His research interests are focused around getting patients back to sport, patella instability and robotics in knee joint replacement.
Mr Anand has worked as clinical lead, business unit lead and as the Director of Surgery for the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre. He has also served on a number of international knee committees. He now works part time in the NHS and the main part of his practice is in the private sector.
