Mr Moawad is currently a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at St George's University Hospitals after previously having been the Specialty Clinical Lead for Vascular Surgery for Ashford and St Peter's NHS Trust.He is an Educational Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor and Appraiser.

Mr. Moawad is a highly skilled and experienced consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon. He earned his MBBCh in 1986, followed by a Master's degree in general surgery (MSc.) in 1994. In 1999, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh FRCS (Ed), and in 2009, he obtained his certificate of Completion of Training (CCST) and the FRCS (Gen.Surg) in Vascular Surgery.
With advanced training in vascular, Mr Moawad has worked in renowned vascular and endovascular units; including St. Thomas' Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, St George's University Hospitals in London. This diverse training background has given him a broad understanding of various surgical practices and approaches, enriching his skills and expertise.�
Over the years, Mr Moawad has been actively involved in the education and mentoring of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, as well as doctors from various universities. He regularly contributes to the training to the next generation to vascular surgeons.
He has authored several papers in high impact vascular journals and contributed chapters to three textbooks.

Mr. Moawad is an examiner at the Imperial College in London and he is also a member of the interviewing panel of potential medical students (MB BS) at St George's University of London.
Finally, he enjoys playing music and has artistic talent that has been reflected on in his work.
He plays the lute and violin and plays music to raise money for charitable and various other events. His most recent performances were in London, Paris and Sweden.
He was a guest of honour at the BBC world service in different programs.
