About me

I am a full time consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon and was appointed a honorary professor at Brighton & Sussex Medical School in Jan 2020

My clinical and research interests centre on lower limb reconstruction, including revision arthroplasty and lower limb arthroscopy, and trauma surgery.
I have a breadth of clinical experience that has focused on these specialties including two one-year clinical fellowships at world-renowned academic units in Toronto, Canada.

My PhD thesis (2017) was entitled “Optimising the outcome of hip and knee replacements”

I have over 80 peer-reviewed scientific publications


I trained for a year with Professor Allan Gross and colleagues at Mount Sinai Hospital regarding primary and revision arthroplasty, bone stock restoration, realignment and osteochondral allograft surgery. Subsequently he worked with Professor Hans Kreder and colleagues at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre focusing on complex pelvic, acetabular and lower limb reconstruction, limb salvage surgery with Ilizarov fixation, in addition to total joint replacement and arthroscopy.
