About me
Mr Charitopoulos is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Service Director of Urology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
He was first appointed as Consultant Urologist at the West Middlesex University Hospital in 2010. He has developed both the stone and benign prostate services and he is leading a successful endourology service with emphasis on day surgery. Mr Charitopoulos is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer of the Imperial College London.
Mr Charitopoulos qualified at Patras University Medical School in Greece and completed his main core Urology training in Athens at the 1st Department of Urology of the University of Athens. He then moved to the UK where he completed a post CCT Fellowship in Endourology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. He has been awarded a PhD with Honours from the University of Athens and has published more than 30 papers in peer reviewed medical journals and several academic communications in national and international conferences.
