About me

I have 22 years experience as a qualified doctor and have been a Consultant Surgeon for 11 years. I trained at the University of Southampton Medical School graduating with distinction and Honours. I completed my specialist General and Colorectal surgical training in Wessex and the South West Thames Deaneries. This included rectal cancer surgical training (TME) at Basingstoke Hospital and Laparoscopic Colorectal training at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.

Prior to starting at the Great Western Hospital, I was awarded a Nationally-appointed industry sponsored Laparoscopic Colorectal Fellowship at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey. Here, I gained further experience and expertise in all aspects of Laparoscopic Colorectal work, Robotic surgery for rectal cancer and trans-anal endoscopic microsurgery (TEMS/TEO).

I was awarded an MSc in Leadership and Management.

I am lead Surgeon for Emergency General Surgery at The Great Western Hospital. I am also lead for Robotic Surgery at GWH.
