About me

Mr Kersey undertook his medical school training at St Bartholomews and the Royal London qualifying with MBBS from the University of London in 2001. After training in the Oxford region he completed his higher specialist surgical training on the Southwest rotation gaining fellowship to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

Mr Kersey is dual fellowship trained in Glaucoma and Oculoplastic surgery. His first fellowship was in Oculoplastics and Orbital surgery in Auckland (New Zealand). His second fellowship was in Glaucoma with Professor Phillip Bloom at the Western and Hillingdon hospitals (London).

He performs micro incision cataract surgery using toric, multifocal and standard intraocular lenses.

Mr Kersey is the lead glaucoma surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital with over 20 scientific published papers in peer reviewed journals. He has been invited to speak and given presentations at many national and international meetings.

Other interests include surgical simulation across the Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery. He regularly runs regional and national surgical workshops in Oculoplastics, Glaucoma and Cataract surgery.

To relax he is a keen water sports enthusiast with particular interests in kayaking, windsurfing and sailing.
