About me

Mr Faisal is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at South Warwickshire Hospital NHS Trust in Warwick. He has completed his specialist orthopaedic training in India and in U.K. He has been working at Warwick as a Lower Limb specialist since 2008.

He completed a one year fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery and trained for a year in foot and ankle surgery. He further consolidated his training by doing fellowships in Mayo clinic USA and and Vancouver General Hospital, Canada working with world experts in primary and reconstructive lower limb surgery ie Prof Lewallen, Prof Trousdale, Prof Clive Duncan and Prof Bassam Masri.

His main interest is primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty including Oxford unicompartment knee replacement and patellofemoral joint replacement.
Mr Faisal also performs hip replacements using the SUPERPATH technique which is a tissue sparing procedure allowing patients to get back their mobility quicker and walk unassisted the day after surgery and leave the hospital without the restrictions normally patients follow after total hip replacement. A SUPERPATH Hip replacement technique is designed to precisely reconstruct the hip without cutting muscles and tendons or stretching muscles that are important for hip function.

Mr Faisal also offers customised total knee replacement surgery using patient specific instruments and custom made Knee implants to improve patient outcomes.

Mr Faisal has extensive experience in the treatment of complex primary hip and knee replacement and revision surgery. He has extensive experience in un-cemented hip replacement and minimally invasive hip surgery.
