About me
Mr Paliobeis has been a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon since 2010, with particular expertise in the surgical treatment of hip and knee conditions.
During his advanced training he completed several distinguished Fellowships in Trauma, Musculoskeletal Oncology, Knee Surgery and Hip Surgery, developing a strong specialist focus on complex hip and knee procedures.
Following these Fellowships, he held Locum Consultant positions at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, before being appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Hereford County Hospital in 2012.
Mr Paliobeis' clinical practice is primarily dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of hip and knee disorders. A significant proportion of his work involves hip and knee replacement surgery, revision procedures, and arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery. He specialises in modern joint reconstruction techniques and uses advanced technologies, including MAKO robotic-assisted surgery, to improve precision, alignment and patient outcomes in hip and knee joint replacement. He uses contemporary approaches to hip arthroplasty such as piriformis-sparing posterior, direct superior and SuperPath techniques.
In addition to joint replacement surgery, Mr Paliobeis has extensive expertise in hip preservation procedures and the treatment of hip problems in young adults. He offers minimally invasive, hip arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery to help patients return to an active lifestyle.
Mr Paliobeis also maintains a strong commitment to teaching, research and academic work in the field of hip and knee surgery. He is the author of the chapter on hip arthroscopy in the Textbook of the European Federation of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EBOT). He has served on the faculty of a renowned international hip arthroscopy course for surgeons and as a reviewer for leading orthopaedic journals including the Bone & Joint Journal and the Journal of Hip Preservation Surgery.
