About me

Professor Nicos Fotiadis is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist with over 15 years' experience in minimally invasive, image-guided cancer treatments. He is Clinical Lead in Interventional Oncology at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and Professor of Interventional Oncology at the Institute of Cancer Research, London.

In private practice, Professor Fotiadis offers highly specialised, precision treatments designed to treat tumours with minimal disruption to normal tissues. Many of these procedures are performed through small needle punctures under image guidance, allowing for faster recovery, shorter hospital stays, and reduced complications compared with traditional surgery.

He has particular expertise in tumour ablation techniques including microwave ablation, IRE, cryoablation and radiofrequency ablation, treating cancers of the liver, kidney, lung and bone, as well as metastatic disease. He is also experienced in complex image-guided biopsies and vascular interventions.

Professor Fotiadis works closely with oncologists, surgeons and physicians to ensure each patient receives a carefully tailored treatment plan. He is committed to clear communication, detailed explanation of options, and delivering safe, evidence-based care using the latest imaging and robotic technologies.
