About me

Melissa Davies qualified at St Georges Hospital Medical School, London. She completed a five year training programme in urology and undertook a fellowship in urogyanecology and female urology in Leicester General Hospital. She was appointed to Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust in 2011 after completing her training in Guys & St Thomas’ Hospital, London.

She is one of a handful of surgeons around the country who can offer all forms of treatments for stress urinary incontinence, including non-mesh surgery. She is also fellowship trained in prolapse and reconstructive surgery and can offer several forms of treatment for conditions affecting the bladder, prostate and urethra. She receives referrals from urologists, gynaecologists and general practitioners from the wider Wessex region as well as nationally. She is also director of the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre urodynamics unit. She has trained several surgeons, from the UK and across the world, on urological surgical techniques and urodynamics.

Her interests include the management of female pelvic floor disorders, including prolapse and continence problems, and the urological management of patients who have neurological disability and spinal injuries.
