About me

Specialising in shoulder, elbow and hand surgery including upper limb trauma. My areas of interest are rotator cuff disease, total shoulder replacement including reverse geometry, sports injuries for the shoulder and elbow and upper limb fractures.

I introduced Awake shoulder surgery to Epsom Hospital allowing patients to go home quickly after surgery without the risks of general anaesthetic.

I graduated from Manchester University, spending his junior doctor training in Perth, Western Australia and Wessex.

I completed a Masters degree in Orthopaedic Surgical Science at University College London winning a prestigious scholarship grant from Stanmore Hospital.

I spent my specialist registrar training in the South West Thames region. During this time I undertook a trauma and upper limb fellowship in a level one trauma centre in New Zealand.

I have been trained extensively in upper limb surgery by Mr D Mok and other world experts and spent time in Sweden, Germany and USA. I He is an examiner at St Georges Medical School and is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education.

He organises and runs courses for the training of newly appointed specialist registrars and helps teach other Consultants about shoulder replacement. He also offers mentorship to help surgeons from Europe with their practice and surgical decision making.
