About us

I have worked as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Southampton University Hospital Foundation trust since 2009.

I completed a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Biochemistry with Pharmacology from the University of Southampton 1990 before studying Medicine at Southampton University Medical School graduating in 1994. I completed Specialist training in the Wessex region including a fellowship year training in laparoscopic and robotic urological surgery, stone surgery and brachytherapy in Perth, Australia. I completed my Medical Doctorate in 2007 and was awarded a Royal College of Surgeons of England fellowship to carry out this research in urological reconstructive surgery. In 2008 I undertook a clinical fellowship to Cleveland Clinic, Ohio training in advanced laparoscopic techniques and Robotics. I worked as a consultant in Winchester and Southend University Hospital before appointment in Southampton in 2009, where I set up the laparoscopic and robotic service. My specialist interests are benign prostate disease, prostate cancer surgery, robotic surgery, prostate cancer diagnostics and prostate artery embolisation(PAE)
