About me
I am a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Southend University Hospital NHS Trust. I am one of the first surgeons in UK to successfully complete both Masters in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery (highest European qualification in Oncoplastic breast surgery ) and the prestigious National TIG Oncoplastic Fellowship. Having been involved in general surgery since 1999, I currently specialise purely in Breast surgery. This gives me a high degree of expertise in treating diseases of the breast.
I specialise in all aspects of breast diseases including breast cancer, benign breast problems and family history of breast cancer. My special interest is in therapeutic mammaplasty (using plastic surgical techniques to obtain best outcomes in breast cancer surgery) and intraoperative ultrasound (using ultrasound during surgery to improve cancer surgery). I perform the entire spectrum of breast surgery including mastectomies, wide local excisions, sentinel lymph node biopsies, axillary sampling and clearance, therapeutic mammaplasty, risk reducing mastectomy and implant based breast reconstruction.
