Areas of Expertise
Mr Ruseckas is a highly experienced consultant endoscopist and general surgeon with over 37 years of clinical experience spanning both abdominal surgery and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He has specialist expertise in the full range of upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, as well as elective and urgent general surgery.

His endoscopy service holds national Joint Advisory Group (JAG) accreditation, recognising the continuous quality improvement embedded in his clinical practice. Mr Ruseckas performs approximately 1,000 colonoscopies per year and consults at Practice Plus Group's Emersons Green (Bristol).

Experience & Training
Mr Ruseckas qualified with an MD (Doctor of Medicine) from the Medical University of Kaunas, Lithuania, where he subsequently worked as both an abdominal surgeon and endoscopist at Kaunas University Hospitals, the largest healthcare institution in Lithuania, and as a university lecturer.

He holds the following licences to practise, awarded by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania:

� Abdominal Surgery Licence to Practise

Following his relocation to the UK in 2005, Mr Ruseckas worked across multiple NHS Trusts in Cornwall, the Midlands, and Newcastle. He has completed a Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and has been practising at Practice Plus Group since 2017, where he leads a JAG-accredited endoscopy service.

Areas of Interest
Mr Ruseckas has a particular clinical interest in the investigation and management of gastrointestinal conditions through endoscopic techniques, alongside benign general surgical conditions. He is actively engaged in gastroenterology audit and quality improvement, contributing to national JAG accreditation standards.
