About me

Mr N Agarwal is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist based in London, with over 20 years of expertise in women's health. He has specialist interests in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, menstrual disorders (heavy, painful, or irregular periods), well-woman health checks including cervical smears, contraception advice, and emergency gynaecology. His practice also includes early pregnancy care, gynaecological ultrasound scanning, subfertility assessment, hydrosonography, and the management of fibroids and polyps.

He is accredited in the management of medical disorders and high-risk pregnancies, acute gynaecology, and early pregnancy conditions, and has held leadership roles within labour ward services. With advanced expertise in gynaecological scanning, Mr Agarwal is able to provide comprehensive, same-visit care, including early diagnosis of gynaecological cancers. He strongly advocates preventive care and a holistic, patient-centred approach with minimal intervention wherever possible.

Mr Agarwal is regularly invited as international faculty to provide expert opinions and has received numerous prestigious awards and fellowships. These include the Alan Gordon Fellowship from the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), the Green-Armytage / Spackman Fellowship from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), and a Fellowship of the Federation of Obstetric & Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI).

He has published over 45 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and delivered more than 50 international presentations, many of which have received awards. He is actively involved in medical education, training students from Imperial College School of Medicine, delivering educational sessions for GPs, and authoring learning modules for the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). He is also a faculty member for the Diploma in Family Medicine (Middlesex University) and contributes to the MRCOG examination as part of the Regional Question-Writing Network. Additionally, he teaches on MRCOG courses and participates in national and international academic meetings, including ectopic pregnancy study days and major obstetrics and gynaecology congresses.

Beyond clinical and academic work, Mr Agarwal has a strong commitment to social responsibility. He has organised blood donation campaigns and waste-management initiatives in Dharavi, one of Asia's largest slums, and supports charitable organisations including the Society of the Helpers of Mary and Pratham.

He lives in North-West London with his wife, whom he has known since university, and their three children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, and swimming.
