About me

I am an experienced Consultant Cardiologist, providing general cardiology and cardiovascular risk reduction services in NHS and private sectors. I have performed over 2,000 elective and emergency coronary interventions - angioplasty and stenting - at both Croydon University Hospital and Kings College Hospital, London, one of the busiest heart attack centres in the country.

My clinical practice entails all aspects of adult cardiology, including the diagnosis and management of chest pain, breathlessness, and palpitations, with particular expertise in coronary heart disease and the management of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and cardiovascular risk.

I place great importance on being an approachable doctor, who takes pride in ensuring his patients are fully informed and receive personalised high quality care.

I graduated with honours from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School, University of London, with prizes and awards for research and clinical medicine, before completing my cardiology training in London. I trained in Interventional Cardiology at The Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust.

I was awarded a PhD by Imperial College London after completing original research in the field of myocardial stunning. I have published articles in peer-reviewed journals on a range of interventional and general cardiology subjects.

I am currently a member of the Royal College of Physicians London, British Cardiovascular Society, British Cardiovascular Intervention Society and European Society of Cardiology. I am actively involved in developing sustainable NHS Cardiology services for patients in Croydon and South London as a whole, and am an experienced Educational Supervisor for Cardiology registrar trainees in South London.
