About me

Mr?Laugharne was appointed as a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial / Head & Neck Surgeon at the Royal Derby Hospital in 2008 and holds weekly clinics at Queen's Hospital Burton.
His clinical practice covers the full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with specialist expertise in head and neck cancer, reconstructive surgery, benign and malignant salivary gland disease, and facial trauma.
He is a core member of the Head & Neck multidisciplinary team and serves on the AO UK faculty, where he lectures and trains surgeons in the management of facial trauma and reconstructive techniques. In addition, he manages both benign and malignant facial skin lesions.
Deeply committed to surgical training, Mr?Laugharne has held several senior educational roles, including Vice Chair of the Surgical Advisory Committee at the Royal College of Surgeons, Recruitment Lead for the Head & Neck Training Interface Group Fellows, and OMFS Training Programme Director for the East Midlands.
