This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Mr Alex Baneke is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon specialising in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He holds degrees from Oxford University and University College London. The majority of his 7-year ophthalmic speciality training was spent at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital, concluding with an 18-month fellowship in surgical glaucoma. There he developed significant expertise in treating patients with both routine and complex glaucoma and cataract.
Mr Baneke has extensive research experience, including a research fellowship in glaucoma at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, and his work has been published internationally. He runs fellowships at Southend and Orsett hospitals training eye surgeons in glaucoma and cataract surgery.
He has two young children, and when not running after them enjoys long bike rides in the English countryside.
Mr Baneke's world-class experience underpins the compassionate service he offers to his patients.
