About me
I am an experienced clinical oncologist specialising in urological malignancies (Localised and advanced prostate, kidney and bladder cancer) and radiotherapy for haematological malignancies.
I have vast experience of treating localised prostate cancer using stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) as well as intensity modulated radiotherapy using image guidance.
I offer treatments for advanced prostate cancer using chemotherapy, AR directed treatments (ARTA), newer hormonal treatments as well as bisphosphonates. I have been part of large multinational practice changing clinical trials and I am at the forefront of evidence-based practice.
I have been leading nationally in developing and offering stereotactic ablative radiotherapy for localised kidney cancer where surgery is not possible. This is a new treatment option. I also treat advanced Kidney cancer with targeted treatments, immunotherapy and combination. I offer holistic care with focus on quality of life as well as longevity.
I have large experience of treating localised muscle invasive bladder cancer as an organ preservation using chemoradiotherapy. I also offer chemotherapy as well as immunotherapy for advanced bladder cancer.
I have significant experience of SABR in various settings, such as localised prostate and kidney cancer as well as in the oligometastatic settings for lymph node, Bone and spine metastases.
I specialise in involved site radiotherapy for haematological malignancies such as high grade and low-grade limited stage lymphomas as well as palliative radiotherapy for haematological malignancies such as lymphoma, myeloma as well as bridging radiotherapy prior to CAR-T treatment.
I was appointed as Consultant Clinical Oncologist in May 2006 at the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust and has wealth of clinical experience.
I have been involved in clinical trials at different stages of cancer and always attempt to offer clinical trials entry where appropriate to adopt newer treatments. I have numerous international publications. I regularly teach on MSC course held at the University of Birmingham.
I am committed to help my patients and provide them the best clinical care.
