About me

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist offering psychological therapy and coaching in the City of London and online.

My approach to therapy is mainly informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Metacognitive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have also trained in Systemic and Narrative therapies. With competency in several models of therapy, I offer a highly skilled and individualised assessment and treatment.

The focus of my work is to help you to regain a sense of agency and to feel less overwhelmed by the challenges you are facing. My approach is collaborative and I conduct the therapy sessions with your goals and needs in mind. I have an open and non-judgemental attitude towards the issues you wish to address, and I seek to establish a confidential environment where you can feel comfortable and safe to work on improving your mental wellbeing.

Qualifying in 2007, I have many years of experience working in both public and private mental health services.

I see people dealing with a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, depression, and bereavement. I have worked in the City of London since 2011 and have specialised in helping professionals in high-pressure jobs to recreate balance in their stressful lives.

I gained my academic degrees from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and I am authorised by the Danish Supervisory Board of Psychological Practice. I am chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I have completed the two-year MCTI training programme in Metacognitive Therapy, and I am a registered therapist with the MCT-Institute.

I continuously seek to develop my professional skills by attending accredited courses and workshops, and I regularly undergo supervision.
