About me
Jim Khan is a specialist colorectal surgeon with a comprehensive training in general, colorectal, laparoscopic & robotic surgery. He treats a wide range of disorders affecting the small intestine, colon and rectum. These include laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer and benign conditions including ulcerative colitis, crohn’s disease and diverticular disease, Haemorrhoid surgery, endoscopy including diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, gall bladder surgery, hernia surgery and proctology.
Jim’s specialist colorectal training included the National Laparoscopic Fellowship at Colchester (UK) a travelling clinical fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester (US) and a robotic fellowship in Seoul. He is a national trainer for consultants' training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery - a programme run by the Department of Health. His research interests include Clinical research in laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery, Quality of life and functional outcomes after low anterior resection, and modern management of haemorrhoids. He has published & presented widely in the field of colorectal & minimal access surgery.
