About me
Kailas Munot is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at York Hospital (since 2009) and sees private patients at the Nuffield Hospital In York. He trained in General Surgery, specialising in Breast Surgery in the major centres of Leeds, Bradford and Hull. He was successful in obtaining a coveted National Oncoplastic and Breast Reconstructive Fellowship in Birmingham.
Mr Munot works exclusively in the field of breast surgery, both for breast cancer and cosmetic breast surgery. He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease, both benign and malignant and performs specialist breast conservation techniques for cancer patients including therapeutic mammoplasty.
Mr Munot uses a variety of techniques for breast reconstruction including implants and latissimus dorsi flap, including newer techniques with implant reconstruction such as autologous dermal sling, acellular dermal matrix and prepectoral implant reconstructions. He teaches regularly as invited faculty on Breast implant reconstruction courses.
He has extensive experience in aesthetic breast surgical practice and believes that accurate planning and attention to detail are vital to get the best cosmetic outcome.
