About me

I have over forty years experience working in mental health services both as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and as an accredited CBT therapist. I am an experienced practitioner in working with a variety of mental health issues including depression, OCD, health anxiety GAD and PTSD. I offer brief interventions of around six sessions to address specific issues if required. Plus longer term therapy to address more entrenched issues that are having a negative impact on individuals lives. I have experience of working with psychosexual therapy including couple work

Areas of interest

I have an in depth knowledge of eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa, having worked in the Derbyshire eating disorders service for over ten years. :
I have experience of working with LGBT clients and have worked in a LGBT clinic in South Africa:
I have an interest in working with young people from the age of 13+;
I supervise trainee CBT therapists from Derby University, plus accredited CBT therapists
