About me
I went straight into private practice after qualifying at Huddersfield University in 2004, working alongside and gaining mentorship from a leading private Podiatrist in the Leeds area. This enabled me to gain experience. It also gave me a vast knowledge of sports injuries, which has since become my main area of interest.
During this time I administered local anaesthetic for a surgical unit with a focus on forefoot surgery. Whilst completing my diploma in the theory of Podiatric Surgery I worked at the Holme Valley Memorial Hospital for six months, alongside a podiatric surgery team who specialised in forefoot surgery in the NHS.
Throughout my career I have worked alongside a number of physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and Sports Doctors as well as Orthopaedic Surgeons and continue to do so.
Primary goal is to provide a local service for patients and working from several GP practices allows me do do this at the same time as building up my patient base as JT Podiatry & Chiropody.
From 2010 to 2021 I worked at the Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital to provide a weekly podiatry clinic which unfortunately ran its course during the Covid pandemic. However I still have many great links and referral pathways for any one needing further treatment.
I now have three clinics in the Leeds & Bradford area providing a wide range of treatments. I have established good relationships with local GPs enabling quick referrals back into the NHS when required.
We are a modern practice that aims to provide the best possible professional care. In 2017 JT Podiatry & Chiropody became the first practice in West Yorkshire to invest in Swift Microwave Therapy. This is a new ground breaking technology that we offer to treat and remove verruca and warts from both hands and feet.
When I'm not practicing podiatry I can normally be found on the golf course or as I like to call it networking!
