Professor William Man is a Consultant Chest Physician (lung specialist doctor) at the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals, Guy's & St.Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and Professor of Respiratory Medicine.
He works in the leading and largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK, with an international reputation for the diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disease.
Professor Man sees both NHS and private patients.
He specialises in all aspects of respiratory medicine - namely any condition that affects the lungs. This includes conditions such as Covid-19, COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung diseases (lung fibrosis, sarcoidosis), lung cancer, pneumonia, tuberculosis, pulmonary embolism, respiratory failure and non-invasive ventilation, pleural disease, chronic cough, allergies and breathlessness of unknown origin.
Professor Man runs specialist NHS clinics in Covid-19 recovery, chronic cough, COPD and sleep disorders.
Professor Man is actively involved in cutting edge research and the use of new treatments not available outside of specialist departments. His involvement in academic medicine allows him to bring the most up to date specialist treatments to his NHS and private patients.
