I have worked as a Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon since 2008, initially at The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, and now at Hull Royal Infirmary. I am on the General Medical Council specialist register for Neurosurgery. Currently I am one of the senior surgeons in a Neurosurgical team providing services in the East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. For 8 years I was the clinical leader of the spinal team for this service. Over the last few years my managerial roles have included:

My elective practice is entirely spinal. I undertake all aspects of elective and emergency spinal surgery, dealing with:
o simple degenerative spinal disease (cervical / thoracic / lumbar / sacral)
o slipped discs / sciatica / brachalgia / spinal cord compression / myelopathy
o complex degenerative deformity
o spinal tumours
o spinal trauma
o joint replacement surgery
o minimally invasive surgery
o kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty
I also provide opinion on the non-operative management of neck and back pain.
