About me
I'm a substantive senior consultant in anaesthesia and chronic pain, working in Essex and Suffolk counties in England, United Kingdom. I have been a consultant at my trust since 2009, serving local communities in the NHS and private sector.
Prior to obtaining my consultant job, I was a trainee in the eastern region of England and have trained extensively in anaesthesia and Pain management.
I have completed advanced pain fellowship in the eastern region, rotating to Cambridge, Ipswich and Norwich.
I passed my FCARCSI in 2004 and completed my CCT in Anaesthesia from UK (London) in 2009
I'm an OSCE examiner for the undergraduate medical students.
I have been an appraiser, appraising my consultant colleagues for their revalidation with General Medical Council (GMC).
I have been a faculty member on various courses for post graduate trainees and consultants. I have also actively taught all grades of healthcare professionals.
I have taken many management duties including recruitment of various post-graduate doctors for our department.
I have been actively involved in patient education and community health education initiatives.
I have been at the forefront of developing departmental guidelines and quality improvement projects.
I score very highly on various performance indicators.
I have done multiple audits, various publications and research. I have delivered various lectures, presentation and presented/lectured at conferences.
I have kept myself up-to-date in both spheres of my practice.
