About me
Mr. Tavakkolizadeh completed his specialist Orthopaedic Registrar training at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. He went on to undertake two fellowships; the first in sports medicine and upper limb surgery in Australia, followed by a year-long upper limb surgery fellowship at King's College Hospital. In 2008, he was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Upper Limb Surgeon at King's College Hospital.
He offers a comprehensive upper limb service, specialising in minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures for the shoulder and elbow. His expertise also includes wrist arthroscopy and the management of upper limb fractures and soft tissue sports injuries, often in collaboration with tailored rehabilitation programmes.
Mr. Tavakkolizadeh also treats nerve compression conditions such as carpal and cubital tunnel syndromes.
In addition to his clinical work, he is actively engaged in research and medical education. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and plays a significant role in postgraduate teaching and training. He regularly organises and teaches on national educational and surgical skills courses and contributes to GP and physiotherapy training programmes. He has also been invited to speak at numerous international conferences.
