About me

For over 20 years I have been working with psychosomatic and mental health presentations and have been able to acquire a depth of understanding and skill in the treatment of a wide range of neurotic disorders and other difficulties that can affect wellbeing and functioning in a person’s personal and/or working life.

I have been working in different environments including rehabilitation and treatment of clients with psychosomatic and mental health difficulties and have experience in assessment, diagnosis, formulation, treatment, multi-disciplinary work, teaching/training of other health professionals, supervision and therapeutic work with individuals, couples and groups. I am working in private practice and the NHS.

I use a variety of techniques in order to achieve optimal results for the individual client using psychological formulation as a foundation from which to target tailored interventions using a wide range of contemporary and evidence based techniques.

I try to work closely together with the client to find out what individual goals someone wishes to achieve. The approach can be described as person centred in nature, whereby collaborative and proactive, explorative and solution-focused.
