About me
I was appointed Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at West Hertfordshire NHS Trust (includes Watford, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead Hospitals) in 2009. I trained at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London and the North West Thames surgical rotation, followed by specialist colorectal training at University College London and St Thomas' Hospital.
In the colorectal area, I specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer, diverticular disease, and inflammatory bowel disease (Crohns and Ulcerative Colitis). I perform endoscopy (colonoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy). I also treat haemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures and fistulas.
From the General Surgery point of view, I treat hernias and various lumps and bumps in the skin such as lipomas (small benign lumps of fat) or cysts.
For selected cases I am a Cleveland Clinic Connected Surgeon and work closely with the team at the Cleveland Clinic London
