About me

I am an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Chartered Psychologist and a registered HCPC Practitioner Counselling Psychologist. I have been qualified for over 23 years. I have also been a senior lecturer for the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at a London university for many years.
I offer a flexible and integrative psychological therapy service. Trained in CBT, I also offer Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy aspects to my practice, which is grounded in evidence-based practice and an interactive and relational approach. I see clients with a range of presenting concerns, most frequently depression, anxiety and life stresses. My clients tend to visit me for an average of 12 to 24 sessions and many come back to me during further periods of crisis or distress. I have been a Bupa approved practitioner for many years. I also have many years NHS experience of working with general adult mental health and physical health issues and I set up and ran the first psychological therapy group for women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome in London. I am experienced at working with women's health issues from infertility and reproductive health through to cancer and the menopause.
