Mr Robert Turner � Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon
Mr Robert Turner is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon, specialising in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand conditions, as well as complex trauma.
He has been a Consultant at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford since 2008, where he is also the Clinical Director for Orthopaedics.
Mr Turner offers the latest treatments, including advanced keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery. He is committed to using the least invasive approach possible and is often able to successfully treat many patients without surgery.
Known for his calm, patientcentred approach, he takes time to understand each person's individual needs. He is passionate about explaining medical conditions clearly and simply, helping patients feel informed and confident about their treatment choices.
Training and Background
Mr Turner graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine. He completed junior medical training in South Wales and Cambridge before undertaking specialist orthopaedic registrar training in the Bath and Wessex region.
He went on to complete a prestigious upper limb fellowship at the largest specialist centre in Canada, followed by additional advanced training at the worldrenowned Mayo Clinic in the USA.
