About me
Dr Ravat has been a UK accredited substantive consultant dermatologist working at Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital since 2006. She qualified as a doctor from the University of London in 1996. After general medical training in London, she specialised in dermatology and spent several years training in various UK dermatology departments. During this time, Dr Ravat published articles in peer reviewed journals and regularly taught Cambridge undergraduates. She was appointed as the clinical lead for dermatology at Hillingdon Hospital in 2006 and has trained many doctors and nurses since then.
Dr Ravat set up and chaired the local and specialist skin cancer multidisciplinary meetings for many years. She specialises in the assessment of moles, skin lesions and skin cancers and is experienced in managing immunosuppressed patients. She works in close collaboration with colleagues in maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery and oncology when managing skin cancer.
Dr Ravat has run the multidisciplinary vulval clinic since 2006 working closely with gynaecology and sexual health colleagues for the management of vulval skin problems.
She also works closely with rheumatology colleagues in the combined rheumatology-dermatology clinic.
Dr Ravat is an experienced medical dermatologist looking after a wide range of skin complaints and medical dermatology. Conditions she looks after include acne, eczema/dermatitis, rosacea, psoriasis, acute/chronic rashes and skin cancer. She is also experienced in managing dermatological problems in pigmented skin. She undertakes dermoscopy for moles and cryotherapy. Dr Ravat works collaboratively with patients to achieve the best outcome and make diagnosis and treatment plans easy to understand.
Please note that Dr Ravat does not undertake surgery for cysts/lipomas, or cosmetic procedures such as Botox/laser/fillers.
