About me

Dr Kevin Pankhurst is a General Adult Psychiatrist, who has extensive experience providing assessment and treatment for a broad range of psychiatric complaints. He has 15 years experience as a psychiatrist and has worked in both the community and inpatient/acute services.

Dr Pankhurst strongly believes in a holistic approach to care and adopts a combination of psychological, biological and social approaches in his practice. His main focus is establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with his patients and encouraging active participation in their treatment plan. He provides supportive counseling in managing personal circumstances and building self-resilience, which are an integral part in the process of healing and recovery. Where necessary he prescribes medication in accordance with the latest effective outcomes.
