About me

Dr Oliver Segal is a Cardiologist who specialises in Cardiac Electrophysiology, the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms. He was a Consultant Cardiologist and Lead for Arrhythmia at University College London Hospital (UCLH), and at Barts Heart Centre, St. Bartholomew's Hospital from 2008-2025. He now works exclusively in the private sector at The Harley Street Clinic. He offers assessment and treatment for people with all types of heart symptoms, with special expertise in arrhythmia, including atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, frequent ectopic or skipped beats, supraventricular tachycardias (SVTs), VT and slow heart rhythms causing dizzy spells and blackouts needing pacemakers. He is an expert in performing catheter ablation for all types of arrhythmia and implanting pacemakers, defibrillators (ICDs), loop recorders (Reveal LINQ) and biventricular pacemakers (CRT) and implants conduction system pacemakers. He has performed >2,000 electrophysiology studies & ablations and >1,000 device implantation procedures. He implants left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) devices (the Amulet), conduction system pacemakers and the Medtronic Micra leadless pacemaker. Dr Segal has >70 peer-reviewed publications.
