About me

Dr Sam Firoozi is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at St George's Hospital in London. He graduated in 1995 from Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals Medical School and subsequently completed his medical and cardiology training in several London teaching hospitals. In 1999 he was awarded a British Heart Foundation Fellowship enabling clinical research into heart muscle disease and sports cardiology at St George's University of London.

Between 2002 and 2008, Dr Firoozi completed training in general and interventional cardiology, including an interventional cardiology fellowship at St George's Hospital. This lead to his appointment as consultant general and interventional cardiologist in 2009. He has a special interest in high-risk coronary intervention and structural heart intervention, including TAVI, mitral edge to edge repair and PFO closure.
